Why Modern Mama?

Modern Mama is based on the foundation of being socially responsible. Although we are forced to exist within the current capitalistic society, there are ways we can run this business that allow us to still do good. 

 

What do we do?

• All employees are paid a living wage. Along with this, all employees have flexible schedules that allow them to take time off or to work from home when needed or wanted. Our team members are people first, the more you take care of a person, the more inclined they are to help the business grow so they can grow with the company.
• Donation model. $5 from every shirt is donated. Every month we choose a local charity to support. We donate time, money, or items, whatever would have the greatest impact. Charities are chosen from community networking, team member recommendations, or customer suggestions. 
• Offset carbon emissions. Depending on the order volume, we may choose to do this quarterly or annually. We purchase carbon emission offsets based on our production. 
• Eco-friendly packaging. All of our shirt bags and poly mailers are eco friendly and either recyclable, reusable or biodegradable depending on the supply chain. We always do our best to not contribute more waste than necessary.
